By MRT: Unfortunately, until the Circle Line opens, there is no MRT to our campus. The nearest and most accessible MRT to the campus is Newton MRT Station (NS21). Leave at Exit A of the MRT and wait for the buses 66, 67, 170 and 171 (near Alliance Francaise, B40041). Alight from your bus at NUS (about six stops from that bus stop, two stops away from SCGS, after Evans Road). From this bus stop, there is no need to cross the road.

Telling your Taxi Driver: Fortunately, most taxi drivers know the existence of another NUS outside of Kent Ridge (be wary of your driver going in the direction of Queensway, Clementi or Buona Vista). It might be useful to tell your driver that this is where the old SMU campus was. Generally you cannot go wrong along Bukit Timah Road. If you are driving towards the city, be prepared to turn right after Adam Road Food Centre. If you are driving away from the city, look out for the NUS marker at the entrance to our campus.

If you are not fond of walking and getting lost, tell your driver to drop you off at the law school, that is not the entrance at the Oei Tiong Ham Building (that is the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy), but the one at the canteen, which means if you had entered the school through Bukit Timah Road, you will be taken on a ride around the entire Campus.

Other Miscellaneous ways of getting here: There’s a mildly useful shuttle bus (BTC1) plying from NUS Kent Ridge to here. Taking the bus from Yusof Ishak House will probably get you here. Do note that BTC1 is NOT a loop service and the frequency is at least 20 mins. BTC1 will drop you at Oei Tiong Ham Building. From there, signs will guide you here.

For the more adventurous public transport user, it is possible to get here from a bus stop at Farrer Road that involves less hill climbing, an arguably shorter distance, a walk through scenic Botanic Gardens and is a more direct way to get to the Law Faculty. However, it is far more complicated way. We don’t recommend it for first time visitors.

To the Moot Court (when inside the Campus): Once you find yourself reasonably sure that you are in the NUS Bukit Timah Campus, the best landmark to find the Moot Court (if you miss all the signs we will be putting up) is the Canteen. There is only one Canteen in the entire NUS Bukit Timah Campus, so no one (who is not a visitor himself) will get this wrong. The Moot Court is next to the Canteen and is hard to miss once you are there. Another good landmark is Block B.

If you are a fan of cardinal directions and compasses, the Moot Court is located at the most western end of the NUS Bukit Timah Campus.

Good luck!
